About me

My name is Charlotte. After a successful career with the Ministry of Defence I have followed my heart and returned to working with animals. Having shared my life and home with dogs of all breeds and sizes, both long and short term, I know the benefits as well as the challenges this can present. Bringing together my theoretical and practical knowledge, and using positive reinforcement techniques, I work with owners to help them build a lifelong bond and trusting relationship with their pet.

The current dog in my life is a fabulous yellow labrador. He was originally supposed to work for a living as an assistance dog for Dogs for Good, but lockdown delayed his training and a few behaviour based concerns meant he was withdrawn from the programme and offered to us as a pet instead. He has his own Instagram page (the_magnificent_mr_ty) and can regularly be seen in Canine Insight training videos demonstrating some of the techniques I teach.

As well as working with clients on an individual basis for Canine Insight I am also proud to be part of the South West training team for ADI / ADUK assistance dog charity Service Dogs UK, a puppy boarder and speaker for Dogs for Good, and I assist Jo Williams at Paws4Teaching with classes including puppy, scentwork, and reactive dogs.

DBS checked and first aid trained.
